Group Chief Executive Officer
Andrew is Chief Executive Officer of Ascot Group Ltd and Ascot Underwriting Ltd and a member of both Boards. He joined Ascot at its inception in 2001 before being promoted to Chief Underwriting Officer in 2005 followed by Chief Executive Officer of Ascot Underwriting in 2008. In 2017, when Ascot Group was formed, he was appointed CEO. Andrew has worked in the Lloyd’s Market since 1983 and is currently Chairman of the Lloyd’s Market Association (LMA) and a member of the Boards of the Council of Lloyd’s and London Market Group (LMG).
Jonathan is Group President with executive responsibility for the Group’s U.S. and Bermuda insurance and reinsurance platforms. Before joining the company in 2020, he was President and CEO of Everest Insurance and Executive Vice President of Everest Re Group, Ltd. Prior to this, he was a Managing Director at Marsh before being appointed President of Victor O. Schinnerer’s U.S. operations – a Marsh subsidiary. Throughout his 26-year career, Jon has held a number of Executive and Management positions at leading organizations across the underwriting and brokerage communities, having started his career at Chubb & Son.
Chief Executive Officer Ascot Bermuda
John is CEO of Ascot Bermuda having joined the company in January 2018. With over 35 years in the reinsurance industry, John founded Third Point Re, serving as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the business. John has also served as Chief Executive Officer of F&G Re, Chubb Re, and Harbor Point Re.
Group Reinsurance & Executive Director
Charlie is Group Reinsurance & Executive Director at Ascot and a member of the Board. He began his insurance career in the broking sector in 1976 and joined Ascot 2011.
Executive Underwriting Officer
Rory is Executive Underwriting Officer for Ascot’s North America business having joined the company in 2009. He previously served as CEO of Ethos Specialty, Ascot’s MGU, as well as President of Ascot Underwriting, US. Rory began his career in primary insurance in 1982, moving in 1986 into the reinsurance space serving in senior management positions at National Re, Gen Re and CNA Re, before becoming the founding CEO of MGU, DirectFac, in 2004.
Group Chief Risk Officer
Mark is Ascot’s Chief Risk Officer. He qualified as a chartered accountant with Ernst & Young in 1994 and has worked in the Lloyd’s market since 1996. He joined Ascot in 2003 as Business Development Manager, later becoming Finance Manager. In 2006 he took on the role of Risk Manager. Mark was appointed to the Ascot Underwriting Limited Board in 2011 as Risk Director. He took on the current role of CRO in 2017.
Group Chief Operating Officer
Yvonne is Group Chief Operating Officer and a member of the Group Executive Committee. Based in New York, Yvonne oversees all operational functions across Ascot’s four underwriting platforms, including IT & Operations, Legal, Compliance, Marketing and HR. She joined Ascot in 2002, initially to help build out the Compliance & Legal function, which broadened to incorporate Operations and HR, subsequently being appointed to the Board of Ascot Underwriting in 2011. Promoted to Chief Administration Officer in 2013, her remit expanded with the formation of the Group, taking up the post of Group COO in 2018 after which she moved to New York to drive the build-out of the Group’s U.S. support functions.
Group Chief Underwriting Officer
Mark is Ascot’s Chief Underwriting Officer. He began his career in insurance in 1987 and joined Ascot at its inception in 2001 to lead our Treaty team. He was promoted to the role of Chief Underwriting Officer in 2009 and is a member of the Board. Mark is ACII qualified.
Group Chief Financial Officer
Joe is Chief Financial Officer of Ascot Group Limited having joined the group in October 2017. He is responsible for financial matters for the group. Previously Joe served as Chief Financial Officer for Ironshore Inc. from 2013 to 2017 and Alterra Capital Holdings Limited from 2007 to 2013. He started his career in financial services in 1987. Joe is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
