Sir Richard Dearlove is Non-Executive Chairman of Ascot Underwriting Limited and Non-Executive Director of Ascot Group Limited. Sir Richard is a former Chief of the Secret Intelligence Service (SIS).
Group Chief Executive Officer
Andrew is Chief Executive Officer of Ascot Group Ltd and Ascot Underwriting Ltd and a member of both Boards. He joined Ascot at its inception in 2001 before being promoted to Chief Underwriting Officer in 2005 followed by Chief Executive Officer of Ascot Underwriting in 2008. In 2017, when Ascot Group was formed, he was appointed CEO. Andrew has worked in the Lloyd’s Market since 1983 and is currently Chairman of the Lloyd’s Market Association (LMA) and a member of the Boards of the Council of Lloyd’s and London Market Group (LMG).
Group Reinsurance & Executive Director
Charlie is Group Reinsurance & Executive Director at Ascot and a member of the Board. He began his insurance career in the broking sector in 1976 and joined Ascot 2011.
Katherine Chung, Non-Executive Director for Ascot Group, is Senior Principal, Direct Private Equity for CPP Investments.
Helen Jones - Bak
Chief Financial Officer
Helen is the Chief Financial Officer and member of the Ascot Underwriting Limited Board. Helen qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1996. She has held various senior finance positions in London and Bermuda, with experience in both Lloyd’s and Company markets. Helen joined Ascot in 2009.
John LLoyd OBE
John Lloyd, Independent Non-Executive Director for Ascot Underwriting, is Chairman of McGill & Partners and has almost five decades of experience at Lloyd’s and in global wholesale insurance markets.
Aman Malik, Non-Executive Director for Ascot Group, is Principal, Private Investments – Direct Private Equity (Financial Institutions Group) for CPP Investments.
Homi Mullan is a former Vice Chairman, Investment Banking at JP Morgan in London and a founding Independent Non-Executive Director of Ascot Underwriting.
Chief Risk Officer
Parth is the Chief Risk Officer of Ascot Underwriting Ltd and a member of the Board. He joined Ascot in 2014 and is responsible for enterprise risk management, actuarial and exposure management. Parth began his career in insurance consultancy in 2000 and has worked in the Lloyd’s market since 2007. Parth holds a Master’s degree in Natural Sciences and is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.
Group Chief Underwriting Officer
Mark is Ascot’s Chief Underwriting Officer. He began his career in insurance in 1987 and joined Ascot at its inception in 2001 to lead our Treaty team. He was promoted to the role of Chief Underwriting Officer in 2009 and is a member of the Board. Mark is ACII qualified.
Paul Taylor, Independent Non-Executive Director for Ascot Underwriting, is Owner and Managing Director of Risk Management Options Ltd.
Katy is the General Counsel of Ascot Underwriting Ltd and a member of its Executive Committee. She has been at Ascot for almost a decade. She was called to the Bar in 1993 and qualified as a Solicitor in 1996. She also was granted her Higher Courts (Civil Proceedings) Qualification in 1997, making her a Solicitor Advocate. Before joining Ascot Katy was in private practice, first at Clifford Chance and then at Barlow Lyde & Gilbert where she was a Partner in the Reinsurance & International Risk team. Katy chairs the LMA Lawyers’ Forum.
