Ascot Appoints Group Head of Ceded Reinsurance
New York, NY, January 5, 2026 – Ascot Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Ashleigh Edwards as Group Head of Ceded Reinsurance, effective today.
In this role, Ashleigh will have ultimate responsibility for the Ceded Re strategy across Ascot’s global platforms, including oversight of a multitude of reinsurance structures, placement strategies, and classes of business.
She will report to Mark Pepper, Group Chief Underwriting Officer, working closely with platform Ceded Reinsurance leaders in the UK, Bermuda and the U.S. to align strategy and resources while strengthening partnerships and enhancing market presence across global operations. She will also be tasked with harmonizing Leadline Capital Partners™, the company’s third-party capital management platform, and Ceded Re strategies to optimize long-term outcomes.

Ashleigh joins the organization from RenaissanceRe, where she spent more than six years, most recently as SVP, Global Head of Casualty Reinsurance. She brings to Ascot 30 years of insurance industry experience in a variety of actuarial, underwriting and leadership roles, having held previous positions at Tokio Millenium Re, Allied World Re, Aspen Re, and QBE Insurance.
